AJ is a name made from two initials. As a nickname it has long been used for boys whose first and middle names begin with A and J, and some families now register it as the name itself. There is no single meaning behind it, so what it stands for depends on the family.
AJ first appears in the CSO records in 2011, and for a few years only a handful of boys a year were registered with it.
